KUCHING, July 1: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) will be holding its Gawai Open House and Ngiling Bidai on July 14.

Organising chairman PRS Youth Chief Datuk Snowdan Lawan said the event will be held at the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) headquarters at Jalan Ong Tiang Swee and the Open House will be held from 11am till 3pm.

“The guest-of-honour for the PRS Gawai Open House and Ngiling Bidai will be Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, and the event will be headed by our president Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing as Tuai Gawai (host chief).

“The Chief Minister is expected to arrive at 12.30pm,” he told a press conference at PRS headquarters here this afternoon.

Members of the public are also invited to the open house, he added.

Snowdan also said that all Sarawak elected representatives will be invited, even those from Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB).

“This is a Gawai event, it is not a political event. We will be inviting all 82 ADUNS (state assemblymen) and 31 MPs from all political parties.

“We also welcome all Dayak non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to come,” he said.
