KANOWIT, Nov 12: A 34-year-old woman suffering from amnesia, who was reported missing after venturing into the forest near Rh Tony, Jalan Bukong, Kanowit, to gather vegetables, was found safe last night (Nov 11).
According to a report by the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received the missing person report at 9.18pm and immediately despatched a team of firefighters from the Kanowit Fire Station to the scene.
Operation Commander Norman Matu stated that the missing woman was located at 9.56pm by local villagers, approximately 4 kilometres from Rh Tony in the forest.
By 10.12pm, the woman was safely escorted back to Rh Tony by the villagers, and no injuries were reported.
As the woman had been found before the rescue team arrived, no further search operations were needed. — DayakDaily
