MIRI, Sept 5: More than 200 police personnel from Miri Police Headquarters (IPD) will be on duty to support the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah’s two-day “Kembara Kenali Borneo” tour pit stop in Miri Division.
Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said, this to ensure the smooth movement of the royal entourage while making their pit-stop in this division on Sept 9 and 10 from Brunei before it proceeds to Bintulu Division.
Alexson when met earlier this morning after attending the IPD Miri monthly assembly addednlnthat there would be no road barricades during the royal tour in this district.
“We (IPD Miri) are all ready for the arrival of the royal couple here,” he said.
Also present was his deputy Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol.
However, Alexson reminded members of the public to not simply park their vehicles in a manner which could cause disruptions to traffic flows during the two-day tour in this division.
“We appeal to members of the public to comply (with traffic management) to ensure an orderly flow of traffic,” he told the local media. — DayakDaily
