KUCHING, July 31: A woman has alleged that her younger siblings had experienced vomiting after eating corn dogs filled with maggots bought from a food stall operating at the 2023 Gedong Festival recently.
According to a report by the news portal mstar yesterday, the woman expressed disappointment in a Facebook post which is now deleted.
In the post, she stated that she and her family went to the Gedong Festival on the night of July 29, and she bought two corn dogs sold at RM10 for two sticks for her two siblings.
Eating the food after reaching home, she claimed that the siblings then complained about the bad taste of the corn dogs and upon inspection, they found out that there were maggots inside the food.
“I only wish to inform the auntie (corn dog stall operator) not to sell food that is no longer safe to eat. Some may argue that we cannot blame the seller entirely, but the fact is that the seller knows whether the food is still edible or not,” she wrote.
In another Facebook post, the woman updated that she had met with the operator and her son, witnessed by four other people. — DayakDaily
