Woman who allegedly hurt mother with knife sent to Hospital Sentosa

KUCHING, Nov 13: The Magistrate’s Court here ordered a woman who allegedly hurt her mother with a knife to be observed at Sentosa Hospital for a month.

The 20-year-old woman had been remanded for six days since she was arrested on Nov 6. Her remand period expired today and she was brought to Magistrate’s court by Investigating Officer Insp Nor Ainsah to apply for the woman to be sent to Sentosa Hospital for her mental condition to be observed and evaluated.


Magistrate Mohd Syukri Mokhtar allowed the application and ordered the suspect to be sent to Sentosa Hospital for a month.

The woman was arrested by police on Nov 6, at about 6.30pm at a mall here.

She was seen standing in front of the mall’s supermarket since 10am and did not go elsewhere until she was arrested by police.

According to the facts of the case, the woman had earlier quarrelled with her mother at their house located in Taman Sentah, Mile 18, in the morning of Nov 6. The woman had allegedly hurt her mother with a knife then fled the scene. — DayakDaily
