SIBURAN, Nov 6: Police are on the hunt for a 20-year-old mentally ill woman after she allegedly stabbed and slashed her mother this morning.
According to Padawan police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan, they received an emergency call from the public at about 8.06am that there was an injured woman lying on the floor of a house at Sentah Park, Batu 18, along the Kuching-Serian road.
Initial investigations revealed that during the incident, only the suspect and victim, who is in her 40s, were at home while the latter’s husband was away at work.
The woman allegedly used a meat chopper and cut her mother’s stomach and thigh.
She later threw the chopper into a trash can nearby and fled the scene, leaving her mother seriously injured on the floor.
The victim was taken to Sarawak General Hospital for treatment. — DayakDaily
