MIRI, May 28: Swift action by members of the public on Wednesday evening has saved a foreign woman from a possible suicide attempt at a beach in Taman Selera, Tanjong Lobang.
The woman, 34 , is currently being treated at Miri hospital.
“She is in a stable condition,” said Miri police chief ACP Lim Meng Seah.
Lim said that the woman was spotted walking deeper and deeper into the ocean before she was rescued at around 3.55pm.
The case is being investigated under Section 309 of the Penal Code for attempted suicide.—DayakDaily
