KUCHING, June 16: A woman and a 4-year-old child lost their lives after the car they were in went out of control and collided into a palm tree at KM8 of the Lubok Antu-Engkilili road this morning.
The incident happened around 9.40am when the two deceased together with another child sitting in the back seat of the car were travelling in the car heading towards Engkilili.
According to a police report, the woman was driving the car while the 4-year-old was in the front passenger seat.
The 9-year-old passenger in the back seat of the car received light injuries.
Police are investigating the case under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
