SDMC reports 13 Covid-19 related fatalities with 42-year-old Mirian as youngest victim today

KUCHING, Oct 13: Deaths related to Covid-19 tallied at 13 in Sarawak today, with a 42-year-old man from Miri being the youngest victim, according to the latest report from the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC).

The man who had a medical history of high blood pressure and diabetes died in Miri Hospital yesterday.

Other victims who passed away on the same day were a 75-year-old woman from Kuching who suffered from high blood pressure, diabetes and dislipidemia, a 75-year-old woman from Betong who had comorbidities of high blood pressure and diabetes, and a 64-year-old woman from Miri who suffered from high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney failure.


The 13 fatalities today also included five deaths on Oct 11, 2021 involving a 47-year-old woman from Miri who had comorbidities of high blood pressure, heart disease and obesity.

Two other victims who passed away on the same day in Miri were a 67-year-old man who had comorbidities of high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease and a 78-year-old woman who had high blood pressure, diabetes, lung problem and heart disease. Ā 

The two victims who died on Oct 11 were a woman from Sarikei aged 77, who had high blood pressure, diabetes and stroke; and a man who passed away in Sarawak General Hospital. He had medical history of diabetes and dyslipidemia.

On Oct 10, there were three deaths involving a 55-year-old Sibu man, a 60-year-old Kuching woman and a 70-year-old Sibu woman.Ā All victims suffered from high blood pressure and diabetes, with the Sibu man also suffering from dyslipidemia while the woman from Sibu had heart disease.

On Oct 4, a 49-year-old woman died in Sri Aman Hospital.Ā She had comorbidities of high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney failure and stroke. Ā 

There were no brought-in-dead patients reported by SDMC today. ā€” DayakDaily
