BINTULU, Feb 22: A 29-year-old Indonesian woman and her nine-month-old baby girl sustained injuries when a gas cylinder exploded at their rented house in Taman Kemena Sutera this morning.
Responding to the emergency call at 10am, a team of firefighters from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Bintulu Station was deployed to the scene.
Upon arrival, firefighters found that neighbours had already opened the door of the house.
The neighbours rushed the infant to Bintulu Hospital, while the woman was tended to by the Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) Unit.
Firefighters thoroughly inspected the interior and surroundings of the house to ensure there were no remaining sources of gas and secured the area before concluding their operation. — DayakDaily
