SIBU, Jan 28: A member of the media has reported his 51-year-old sister missing since she went out with her friends for Chinese New Year visiting on Jan 25.
RTM Sibu radio announcer Iskandar Joni, 41, in his police report said his sister, Rosita Joni, left their house at Jalan Kampung Hilir at about 2pm on the first day of Chinese New Year.
“She went out with several friends to visit their Chinese friends,” said Iskandar, who stated that his sister had brought her handphone with her, but all his attempts to call her failed as there was no ringing tone.
“All her belongings are still at home,” he said.
Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit confirmed the case. —DayakDaily
