Willie Mongin: Zuraida’s talent still needed

KUCHING, May 27: Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities Datuk Zuraida Kamarudin’s talent is still needed, said Datuk Willie Mongin after the former had quit Parti Peribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) to join Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).

The Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities said he has been working with Zuraida in the ministry for the past one year, and she has done a good job.

“We are also in the same party for the last 20 years, she is a very hard working person and very dedicated,” he told reporters during a press conference after the closing ceremony of Basic Course on Handmade Chocolate Entrepreneur Development held at Komplek Sara Cocoa Cluster in Kota Samarahan, today.

Yesterday (May 26), Ampang MP Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin Datuk Zuraida in a press statement said that she had quit Bersatu to join PBM and will meet with Prime Minister Dato Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob to discuss her resignation from her post.

Willie, who is also Puncak Borneo MP, said at the moment, Zuraida is still in charge of the ministry.

“So we will leave it to the wisdom of our prime minister to decide,” he said. — DayakDaily
