KUCHING, July 1: Kuching South City Council (MBKS) Mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng has praised Unimas Covid-19 vaccination centre’s (PPV) efficiency in expediting the State’s vaccination programme.

Wee said in a statement today that the systems implemented at the PPV in ensuring that the vaccination programme ran smoothly were well organised and orderly.

“The setting and flow of the PPV here is very systematic and it will not confuse the public. Just follow the flow, and if there is any problem, there are volunteers around that will assist,” he said during his visit to the PPV yesterday.

During the visit, Wee also distributed 50 cartons of drinking water, five cartons of instant cup noodles, and 22 boxes of biscuits for the frontliners and volunteers stationed at the centre.

“They (frontliners) have been working very hard to achieve the target given to them. MBKS will continue to assist the PPV with basic essentials such as drinking water and biscuits as requested,” he added.

Meanwhile, Wee reminded the public to only visit the centre if they have an appointment date and time as stated in their MySejahtera app to avoid any problems during the registration.

“No walk-ins are allowed at Unimas PPV. Those who come for the vaccination programme must always follows the instructions and adhere with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) while waiting to be vaccinated,” he said. — DayakDaily
