Water supply restoration efforts underway in Kota Samarahan after pipe damage during KUTS construction

KUCHING, Oct 26: Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd (Sarawak Metro) and its contractors are working closely with Kuching Water Board (KWB) to address the water supply interruption issue affecting several areas along the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway in Kota Samarahan.

According to a media release today, the disruption occurred when a sub-contractor inadvertently damaged a water pipe during utility relocation works for construction of the Blue Line of the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS) project.

Sarawak Metro is committed to providing full support to KWB and its contractors as they conduct repairs on the damaged water pipe.

The company sincerely apologises to the community for the inconvenience caused and is dedicated to working alongside KWB and contractors to restore the water supply as quickly as possible. — DayakDaily
