SARATOK, March 26: The 11-year-old pupil from SK Engkudu, who disappeared from class at 6am today, has been found safe at a farm about one kilometre away from the school by local villagers.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) confirmed that the schoolgirl was found in good health by villagers at 3.24pm, who promptly escorted her back to her longhouse, Rumah Bundak.
Subsequently, the Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) vehicle transported her to Saratok Hospital for further examination.
Earlier this morning, a search operation was launched to locate the girl, who reportedly went missing from class at 5.55am while waiting for breakfast.
The anxious father, who had no clue as to her whereabouts, lodged a report at 8.27am.
The search operation, involving nine firefighters, four police officers, 11 school personnel, and 10 villagers, covered a radius of one to two kilometres surrounding SK Engkudu, starting from where she was reported missing.
With the girl found safe and sound, the operation concluded at 4pm. — DayakDaily
