According to a statement issued by UKPS, Abdul Wahab was alerted to the video through WhatsApp at about 10am while he was at his office on the sixth floor of the Baitul Makmur 2 Building in Petra Jaya.

UKPS described the individual’s actions as highly inappropriate and disrespectful towards a symbol of pride of Sarawak.

“The act could also provoke anger or public concern among Sarawakians, potentially leading to a breach of public peace.

“UKPS has requested the police to investigate the matter and take appropriate action against the individual involved under any relevant laws,” the statement said.

The unit said such action was necessary to safeguard peace, order and harmony in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
