TYT’s wife helps spread CNY cheer to 100 folks in need

KUCHING, Jan 24: Some 100 individuals in Miri received donations in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration presented by Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, the wife of the Governor of Sarawak.

According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the donations were presented during the ‘Majlis Jalinan Kasih Tahun Baru Cina’ programme at Marriot Hotel and Spa Miri today.

Also present at the event were Sarawak Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood, and Community Development, Datuk Rosey Yunus, and Datin Sri Kong Shui Lin, wife of Sarawak Transport Minister, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin.

For the record, the programme is initiated by Raghad herself, who is actively involved in channelling donations to the needy. — DayakDaily
