KUCHING, May 1: Head of the State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud reminded Sarawakians to continue following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set for the endemic phase.
“Be careful and follow the SOPs set, such as practising social distancing and wearing face masks,” he said today in his Hari Raya message.
He also conveyed his Hari Raya wishes to all Muslims in the State.
“My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to wish ‘Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri’ and ‘maaf zahir dan batin’ to all Sarawakians,” he said.
He added that a month of fasting during Ramadan has made everyone more obedient and responsible.
As such, he said, it should be an example for others.
“Sarawak will become stronger when its people successfully strengthen unity among each other and appreciate the diversity.
“Maintain the mutual understanding and respect among each other,” he said. — DayakDaily
