Two men in Sibu detained for illegal possession of 200k litres of diesel worth RM1.4 mln

SIBU, April 30: Two men were arrested for illegally possessing 200,000 litres of diesel worth RM1,430,000 yesterday (April 29).

According to Sibu district police chief ACP Zulkipli Suhaili, the two suspects, ages 34 and 67, were detained by Region 5 Marine Police during an operation dubbed ‘Ops Taring Pensura’ at about 4pm at Batang Rajang.


“It was found that the cargo was carrying illegal diesel worth RM1,430,000. The two men were subsequently detained for investigation,” he said.

Zulkipli said the case had been referred to the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry for further action. — DayakDaily
