KUCHING, March 11: Residents in the Kota Samarahan area have been advised to prepare for water disruption starting March 12 until March 13.
In a statement today, Kuching Water Board (KWB) said the planned water supply disruption will be scheduled from 10pm on March 12 until 5.30am on March 13.
The affected areas are Taman Samarindah, Taman Merdang Gayam, Taman Desa Ilmu, Kampung Melayu, Kampung Nakong, Kampung Bangka Semong Kota Samarahan, Asajaya, as well as in Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB) areas including the Tambirat Booster Station and surrounding areas.
According to KWB, the disruption is due to valve trial test and pipe connection works for the upcoming diversion of the existing 800mm mild steel cement lined (MSCL) pipe at Jalan Datuk Mohd Musa in Kota Samarahan.
