Truck carrying 14 PGA personnel crashes after brakes fail while going uphill, one injured

KUCHING, April 12: A police truck carrying 14 General Operations Force (PGA) personnel including the driver veered out of control and crashed at Jalan Ulu Paku, Sri Aman this morning.

A PGA personnel inside the truck suffered injuries to his shoulder and his back and was sent to Sri Aman Hospital for treatment.


The incident happened around 10am, when the PGA personnel were on their way back to their camp at Temudok.

According to a report about the incident, the truck was going uphill when its brakes malfunctioned, causing the truck to travel backwards down the hill. The driver subsequently lost control of the vehicle which later crashed along the road side.

Police were called to the scene and are investigating the incident. — DayakDaily
