KUCHING, Nov 15: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been forecast in Kuching, Bau, Selangau, Mukah and Bintulu until 3pm today.
According to an advisory notice by Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), the affected areas include Kuching (Bau and Kuching), Sibu (Selangau), Mukah (Mukah), and Bintulu.
The thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorm with rain intensity of more than 20mm/hour close to or expected to last for more than an hour.
It added that a thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release. — DayakDaily
