KUCHING, April 29: A thunderstorm warning has been extended across most of Sarawak and is valid until 7pm tonight.
According to an advisory notice released by the Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) at 4.15pm, Sarikei (Julau), Sibu, Kapit (Song and Kapit), Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang are listed as the areas to be affected by the rainy weather.
Based on the Facebook post, the warning is only issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with rain intensity exceeding 20mm an hour or with a downpour that is expected to occur for more than an hour.
