Temporary road closure for Jln Kuching-Bau near Siniawan from Oct 9-Dec 8

One of the cracks along the Kuching-Bau road that needs to be repaired.

KUCHING, Oct 7: Jalan Kuching-Bau near Siniawan (KM6+850) will be temporarily closed starting Oct 9 until Dec 8.

According to the Public Works Department Sarawak (JKRS) in a statement today, the closure was due to cracks on the road surfaces, including slope and culvert failure.

As such, the department advises road users to plan their journey and use the alternative road provided while following the safety signs provided.


JKRS also urged heavy vehicles to use the Pan Borneo road during the closure duration to ensure smooth implementation of repair works.

Road users are advised to use the alternative road (yellow line) while the repair works (circled in red) are implemented during the closure period.
