KUCHING, May 9: Tebedu assemblyman Dr Simon Sinang Bada wants the implementation of the Tebedu immigration, customs, quarantine, and security (ICQS) complex to be expedited.

Dr Sinang highlighted the superior quality and aesthetics of the neighbouring country’s ICQS complex compared to Tebedu’s, which led him to advocate for the expedited completion of the upgrading project.

“However, until today, I have not seen any progress on the Tebedu ICQS Complex upgrade project.

“As a Tebedu assemblyman, I feel less comfortable and less proud of our current position and situation,” he said during the fourth day of Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUS) sitting today.

According to him, ICQS Tebedu has received an allocation of one hundred million ringgits in and promised for completion back in 2021, and yet there has not been any development since. — DayakDaily
