KUCHING, Feb 28: The Sarawak Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) is organising an anti-rabies mass vaccination drive for dogs to encourage pet owners to bring along their beloved pets to get free vaccinations.
According to the information shared on the DVS Facebook page, the event is scheduled for March 2 at Song Swee Guan Recreation Park in Tabuan Jaya, from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Neutering service will be made available at a subsidised rate of RM150, exclusively for the first 100 female dogs that have been both vaccinated and licensed under Kuching South City Council (MBKS).
Free dog licensing and microchip implants will also be offered to enable canine owners to track their pet’s movements.
In the same post, DVS reminded owners to bring their identification card along with the pet’s identification card (if applicable).
The anti-rabies mass vaccination drive is jointly organised by DVS, MBKS, and the Sarawak Veterinary Association. — DayakDaily
