KUCHING, March 23: Federal Works Minister Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi has called for his ministry’s officials to take appropriate action when handling issues that could affect the wellbeing of the people.

He pointed out that he alone would not be able to serve without the cooperation and commitment of his officials who bear the ministry’s image.

“Whatever it takes, take appropriate action. Immediate action must also be taken in dealing with issues that clearly affect the safety and lives of the people.

“That’s the clear message I emphasised in the post-cabinet meeting at the ministry just now. This effort needs the cooperation of everyone in the ministry and its agencies; I can’t do it alone,” he wrote via a Facebook post yesterday.

At the same time, Nanta who is also Kapit MP welcomed the presence of new officers to the ministry and hoped that they can strengthen the ministry’s service delivery to the people. — DayakDaily
