SugarBun successfully organises reading, colouring contests

The Reading Contest and Colouring Contest organised by SugarBun and Pelangi Publishing House on Friday.

Kuching, August 18: As part of the school holiday activities, a reading contest and coloring contest was jointly organized by SugarBun, Pelangi Publishing House and supported by Nestle Milo in Borneo Asian Food by SugarBun, Wisma SugarBun at 10 am on Friday.

The reading contest was opened for children aged five to eight years old and each child was challenged to read out loud from any “Hello Animals! My first science storybook” series which came free with a SugarBun Kids Meal.

It was later followed by a colouring contest for children aged four to seven years old.


“This event is organized as part of our support for the Nationwide Campaign ‘Malaysia Membaca’ or Dekad Membaca 2020-2030.

“We would like to create awareness on the importance of reading and cultivate reading culture amongst young children,” said Helong Ajang, SugarBun’s Marketing Manager.

The contest was judged by guest judge Clara Liew, Marketing and Project Manager for Conqueror’s Vision who is also Managing Editor of Happening’s in Sarawak and Johnson Chua who is the representative from Pelangi Publishing House as well as Helong, who represented SugarBun.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Wee won the first place of the reading contest while Nurul Ain took the second place and Gwenhwyvar Estella, the third.

For colouring competition, Izz Dzakrin managed to outshine others and won the first place while Nur Ain Faeza followed closely in the second place and Mohd Azhar Husna, the third. — DayakDaily
