SugarBun celebrates Lunar New Year with CSR programmes for underprivileged, elderly

KUCHING, Feb 13: Homegrown franchise SugarBun recently celebrated Chinese New Year with residents of Rumah Seri Kenangan Old Folks Home.

As part of their yearly corporate social responsibility (CSR) project titled ‘Another Community Project by SugarBun’, they also invited children from the Salvation Army.

Meals, gifts and ‘ang pow’ were also given to all 68 residents and 26 caretakers at the old folk’s home on Feb 5.

Similarly, 80 children and 10 caretakers from the boy’s home and special needs learning centre were also given the same gifts.

The community project has been SugarBun’s ongoing CSR programme since the founding of the company to encourage employee participation in driving social awareness of the underprivileged, handicapped and encourage filial piety. —DayakDaily
