KUCHING, September 7: For the whole of this month, patrons to SugarBun will be spoilt for choice with its Asian Cuisine Menu `Asian Bagus’, which was first introduced in the 1990s.

“These local cuisines were made available back then to add more variety alongside our western menu of burgers and Broasted Chicken. It was to promote local cuisines and also to motivate the growth of local products during that era,” its spokesperson told a press conference here today.

She added that by bringing back this promotion, SugarBun wanted to encourage the public to re-discover the many dishes in its Asian Cuisine Menu.

“We are confident that with proper promotion, our `Asian Bagus’ will make a great come back. Also with an attractive price, it is a great opportunity for our current customers to introduce it to their friends and families,” she added.

The savoury `Asian Bagus’ dishes included Chicken Mushroom, Beef Stew, Chicken Curry and the old favourite Assam Fish.

The savoury `Asian Bagus’ dishes that are available will be served in claypots, and the menu included the unforgettable Chicken Mushroom, Beef Stew, Chicken Curry and the most popular among diners — Assam Fish.

“All these dishes will be served with fragrant rice and free soft drink at RM9.90. This promotion is available at all participating outlets in Sarawak and Sabah,” she said.

She further revealed that SugarBun would be celebrating Malaysia’s 55th anniversary with a special promotion from Sept 8-17.

“During this period, there will be a promotion on food items that start with a price of 55 sen when diners purchase a combo set at the eatery,” she said
