KUCHING, April 29: ‘Under Siege’ actor Steven Seagal and his wife, Erdenetuya Batsukh, had a taste of authentic Indian cuisine here yesterday.

They were brought to The King’s Curry at Jalan Rumbia by senior lawyer Shankar Ram, who remarked that the eatery’s management was very honoured to have a very famous Hollywood personality dine at their restaurant.

“Mr Seagal and his wife enjoyed their meals. To me, he is very humble, simple and a down-to-earth person,” he told DayakDaily after the American action movie actor left the restaurant.

According to a restaurant staff, Seagal ordered a variety of food, notably their in-house specialities comprising meat, veggies and seafood.

Seagal arrived in Kuching on April 24 as a guest of the Asean International Film Festival Awards (AIFFA) 2019, which was held on Saturday.

He became a household name in this part of the world following his debut in an action-packed movie ‘Above the Law ” in 1988. With his cool martial arts skills — he is a master in Aikido — and trademark ponytail, he is a well-recognised face in Hollywood and amongst action movie fans. — DayakDaily
