PKR man: Imperative for civil servants to remain dedicated beyond salary raise

Roland Engan

KUCHING, May 2: Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) chief Roland Engan emphasised that despite the recent salary raise for civil servants to 13 per cent announced by the Prime Minister, it is crucial for all Malaysians to remember their commitment to the country.

In a statement today, Roland urged citizens, including civil servants, private workers, self-employed individuals, housewives, students, and the unemployed to devote their hearts, minds, energy, and time to the betterment of Malaysia.

Under the slogan of ‘Ketuanan Rakyat’ (People’s Supremacy), Roland said that every idea, word, and action of civil servants should be dedicated to the welfare of all Malaysians.

He highlighted the importance of serving one another to ensure that Malaysia remains a welcoming destination for individuals from abroad who choose to contribute to the country’s development through tourism, investment, and employment.

Roland also encouraged Malaysians residing abroad to share valuable insights and ideas for the nation’s advancement.

“May our country transcend past limitations and obstacles to progress and unite towards a prosperous future,” he concluded. — DayakDaily
