State Bomba chief among 193 loyalty service medal recipients in Mukah today

KUCHING, March 30: Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) director Datu Khirudin Drahman who had served the department for 33 years, was among 193 Loyalty Service Medal (PPS) recipients today.

The medal ceremony, held at Kingwood Hotel in Mukah earlier, was officiated at by the Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Also receiving the honour were Dalat District Officer Kueh Lei Poh and Tanjung Manis District Officer Ismail Kasah.

All recipients today were from six State and four federal departments, agencies or local bodies namely the Mukah Division and District Resident Office, Land and Survey Department Sarawak, Sarawak Agriculture Department, Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB), Dalat and Mukah District Office, Matu and Daro District Office, Bomba Sarawak, Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Sarawak State Health Department (JKNS), and Sarawak Education Department.

Among other dignitaries present were Minister of Women Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Jaul Samion, Sarawak Economic Planning Unit (EPU) director Datu Dr Muhammad Abdullah Zaidel, Tellian assemblyman Royston Valentine, Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi, and Mukah acting Resident Shafrie Saili. ā€” DayakDaily
