KUCHING, March 9: Music fans here are in for a treat this weekend at the Kuching Waterfront (KWF) as its management is organising “Replay the Best of Waterfront Music Fest” today and tomorrow (March 9 to 10).
“This gig will feature six talented local bands including Rawi, Sanggalang and Simfoni Kenyalang PKS performing on Friday night,” said the Kuching Waterfront Management in a statement yesterday.
On Saturday, Hornbill Familla’s, Pinanak Sentah and the winner of the 2017 Kuching Waterfront Music Fest Suk’ Biniek will be entertaining visitors and residents of Kuching.
The performing bands were selected from the 11 contesting bands in the 2017 Waterfront Music Festival (WMF).
WMF is a signature event of KWF management which focuses on discovering new talents. Previous fest winners include the now famous Nading Rhapsody and At Adau.
Last year’s winner, Suk’ Biniek is a six-member band from Bau comprising university students who are all in their twenties.
KWF management welcomes the public to its Godown Amphitheatre to enjoy the free performances which will start from 8.15pm on both Friday and Saturday nights. — DayakDaily
