KUCHING, Aug 25: A 40-year-old man died, while two other male passengers sustained injuries in a single-vehicle accident that occurred on Jalan Demak here last night.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak reported that this incident involved a lone vehicle and affected three individuals.
Upon receiving a distress call at 8.32pm, firefighters from Petra Jaya Station promptly arrived at the scene. They found two passengers trapped within the vehicle, necessitating swift action to extricate them from the wreckage.
Fortunately, a bystander assisted another victim in exiting the vehicle.
The injured individuals were immediately transported to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) using two ambulances.
Sadly, paramedics from the Ministry of Health (MOH) pronounced the death of one victim at the scene. The deceased’s body has been handed over to the police for further procedures. — DayakDaily
