Sibu records highest Covid-19 caseload in Sarawak with 6 out of 14 cases

KUCHING, Jan 22: Sibu continues to record the most number of new Covid-19 cases in Sarawak with six out of total 14 cases today.

Miri, coming in second, registered three cases while the rest including Kuching, Samarahan, Meradong, Serian and Julau reported one case each.


Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today updated the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in the State to 252,688.

In terms of clinical categories, nine out of the 14 were Category 1’s, four were Category 2’s, and one was in Category 3.

No deaths due to Covid-19 or any new clusters were reported today.

Meanwhile, nine compounds were issued as of this day, to eight individuals who failed to register themselves through MySejahtera or manually at the entrances of premises, and one who did not wear face mask. ā€” DayakDaily
