“The completion of the interchange may have been a little bit delayed due to extra construction work but it is finally completed now,” he told reporters after his visit to the site today.

He said vehicles coming from Bintulu to Kuching as well as from Sibu Airport to Bintulu do not need to take the roundabout as they can just use the interchange.

The Sibu interchange is part of Pan Borneo Highway’s Work Package Contract (WPC) 07 contracted by the Hock Seng Lee-Dhaya Maju Infrastructure Asia joint venture (JV).

Nanta further advised road users travelling the route during Gawai to be careful and not driving exceeding the speed limit of 90km per hour. — DayakDaily
