KUCHING, Sept 6: Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association (Sheda) Property Expo 2022 will partner with Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) to host a GoBald Satellite Event.

According to a press release, to kickstart the fundraising campaign and to encourage more Sarawakians to go bald in support of children with cancer, LaFrowda Properties Sdn Bhd will donate to SCCS RM200 per person for the first 25 people willing to go bald at the expo on Oct 1.

Developers and other supporters of this initiative are invited to visit the event’s fundraising page at https://bit.ly/GB22SHEDA to donate or sign-up for the shave.

The satellite shave is among the many activities and programmes lined up for the expo, which will be held from Sept 30 to Oct 2 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), with Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg expected to officiate at the opening of the expo on Sept 30.

The press release said that an exhibitors’ briefing was held today, where exhibitors and their representatives were reminded of the rules and regulations to facilitate the smooth running of booth construction and other related logistics.

“Two weeks remain before the closing of booth sales, and only ten booths are left for those still interested in participating. The fast sell-out of booths this year is a positive sign that purchasers will have plenty of opportunity and choice in selecting a home or investment best suited for their needs,” it said.

Besides property talks and seminars, members of the public will also be able to listen to speakers from organisations such as the Kuching Autistic Association (KAA) and Mental Health Awareness Sarawak (MHAS).

According to organising chairman John Yong Lock Ping, these additional themes were introduced to acknowledge Covid-19’s impact on individuals and the community.

Although the expo’s main focus is still to showcase various projects and property options under one roof, it will also be used as a platform to address other needs which affect Sarawakians.

The briefing was also attended by Eddie Tan, representing IDA Exhibition Services (M) Sdn Bhd, the event’s official contractor, as well as Wendy Lai and Adrian Ibrahim, representing BCCK.
