KUCHING, Sept 4: The Sarawak government will soon launch the SAMUDAH Management System to streamline communication and resolve issues between the business community and government departments and authorities.
Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said the system would provide a coordinated digital platform for more transparent communication and more accountable service delivery.
“Through a coordinated digital platform, the SAMUDAH Management System is also meant to assist policy makers identify, understand and address system and processes with clearly recorded data and information,” he said in his speech at the opening of the SHEDA Property Expo 2026 held at voco Kuching by IHG here today. His speech was read by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Abang Johari said the system was part of efforts to strengthen the government’s performance and delivery under the 13th Malaysia Plan (13MP).
Abang Johari further said the property sector itself would also have to prepare for rapid technological changes, including the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI).
“Building designs may even one day be designed and approved by generative AI,” he said.
He said the property sector could also have access to AI-powered construction robotics and green management systems optimised to environmental, social and governance (ESG) benchmarks. — DayakDaily
