SIBU, Dec 2: A 30-year-old man was found dead inside an overturned car in Sungai Bidut, today.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sibu acting chief Wan Kamarudin Wan Ahmad in a statement disclosed the deceased was identified as Hii Sie Lee, from Sungai Bidut, Sibu.
“Bomba Sungai Merah received the call at 7.54am regarding the incident at Jalan Hock Ming and a team of 6 firefighters was deployed.
“Firefighers arriving at the scene found an overturned sedan vehicle inside the ditch on the roadside and after conducting a size-up, the victim was discovered inside the vehicle,” he revealed.
Wan Kamarudin also noted that the unconcious victim was pulled out of the vehicle by firefighters without using any rescue tools.
After an initial check up by medical personnel from Sibu Hospital, the victim was pronounced dead.
“The body was handed over to the police for further action,” Wan Kamarudin added. — DayakDaily
