KUCHING, Aug 12: Serian MP Dato Sri Dr Richard Riot Jaem has given his assurance that he was committed to serving his Parliamentary constituency, regardless if there is an election or not.

Riot said that after 32 years of being Serian MP, he was always on the ground every weekend to serve his constituents.

“It is not because of the election is near that I am around. No. Election or no election, I am around,” he told reporters when officiating at the Kampung Hulu Serian Suspension Bridge in Serian today.

Riot noted that even though his duty demanded for him to be in Kuala Lumpur most of the time, he would not miss any opportunity to come back to his constituency.

“To me, it is the same. I am always on the ground,” he added. — DayakDaily
