Senior citizen missing since Nov 13 yet to be found, search enters fifth day

Search operations for Ra’obah Murni has entered the fifth day.

SARATOK, Nov 18: Another senior citizen, Ra’obah Murni, who was reported missing since Nov 13 has yet to be found.

As today’s search and rescue (SAR) operations entered its fifth day, rescuers led by Saratok fire station chief PPgB Nazry Mohamat together with the police, civil defense, and villagers could not locate Ra’obah, 69, from Kampung Semarang, Pusa.


A total of 28 people were involved in the search. They were divided into three groups, each conducted their search in a designated sector.

In the afternoon, a search was conducted around the Apong forest within a radius of 1 km but the victim has not been found.

Bomba Sarawak deputy director PPjB Zainal Madasin and Sri Aman fire chief PgB Ramlan Marajan also joined in the search operations today.

Last Friday, Ra’obah went to her farm alone and failed to return home since then.

Yesterday, Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) K-9 unit was also involved in the search, focusing on a 2.5km radius from where the victim was last seen. – DayakDaily
