KUCHING, June 4: All logistics and transportation companies traveling in or across Brunei Darussalam to Limbang or Lawas are required to send their list of drivers to undergo the vaccination for Covid-19.

In a statement, Miri Disaster Management Committee (JPBB) disclosed that being vaccinated against Covid-19 was the latest mandatory prerequisite requirement for outbound travellers, which was issued by Brunei Darussalam on June 1.

Following the notification, Minister of Transport Sarawak Datuk Lee Kim Shin said JPBB Miri has informed the State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) and Sarawak Health Department (MOH).

“SDMC and MOH have agreed to give Covid-19 vaccination to drivers from logistics and transportation companies in Miri division for them to travel into or across Brunei Darussalam before continuing their journey to Limbang and Lawas.

“Miri Resident’s office will extend the name list to MOH Miri,” the statement said. — DayakDaily
