Sarawakian teen Fedealis Kom Twin selected for national Taekwondo squad

KUCHING, Feb 14: Sixteen-year-old Sarawakian, Fedealis Kom Twin, has been chosen for the national Taekwondo squad.

In a statement today, State Taekwando Association (WTF) president Azizul Annuar Adenan revealed that Fedealis will check in at Bukit Jalil Sports Centre this week to join fellow Sarawakian taekwondo seniors undergoing a full-time centralized training programme in Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.

He explained that the training would prepare him for the coming Sukan Malaysia (SUKMA) XXI, national, and international championships.


Azizul, the Tanjung Datu assemblyman, elaborated that Fedealis has made Sarawak proud in various global poomsae championships and has contributed gold medals to Sarawak and the nation.

“He (Fedealis) has demonstrated his talent in every match since 2022,” he shared.

Azizul also disclosed that last year, Fadealis contributed an impressive silver medal for the nation at the 16th ASEAN Taekwondo Federation Championship in Manila, Philippines.

“Fedealis also contributed three gold medals in the poomsae event for the South zone team and won himself the Most Promising Athlete award at SUKSAR III 2023 in Sibu last month,” said Azizul. — DayakDaily
