KUCHING, Aug 18: Sarawakian journalist Jacqueline David has been appointed Communications Director for a Sarawak-owned communication and marketing consultancy company, Citrine One Borneo.
Jacqueline has a journalism career spanning over 30 years, including winning multiple prestigious Kenyalang Journalism Awards and the United States Agency for Global Media Award for her article titled ‘Orangutan Conservation and Combatting Nature Crime’ in 2022.
Citrine Group Communications Director Hazel Jasni said Jacqueline’s appointment exemplified the company’s commitment to empowering local organisations in East Malaysia.
“Her appointment resounds as a powerful testament to Citrine One Borneo’s dedication to shaping a revolutionary future for communication in the region with her media perspective,” she reportedly said in a statement issued yesterday (Aug 17).
Citrine One Borneo, a subsidiary company of Citrine Group, began its journey in January this year, capturing attention by hosting a groundbreaking panel session titled ‘Maximising Media Relations Through A Better Understanding From The Media Perspective’ held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
In May 2023, Citrine One Borneo achieved yet another milestone by forging a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) witnessed by Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs, Information and UKAS) Datuk Abdullah Saidol, which aimed to elevate the media and communication landscape of East Malaysia.
This partnership will empower aspiring professionals and aim to cultivate a pool of proficient communication professionals in East Malaysia. — DayakDaily
