KUCHING, July 28: A total of 150 recipients were honoured for their outstanding contributions and services to Sarawak after receiving State Honours from the Sarawak Governor (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar today.
The honours were presented during the Sarawak State Honours Investiture Ceremony held at the Grand Hall of Astana Negeri Sarawak here today.
According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the ceremony recognised recipients through various State awards in appreciation of their contributions and dedication.
The ceremony began with the conferment of the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Pegawai Bintang Kenyalang (P.B.K), which was awarded to 14 recipients.
Among them were Bujang Rhaman Seli, Ezra Uda, Muhammad Dino Amid, Peleadzman Ahip, Tamida Da’adi, Dampa Long, Meehan Jorai, Petrick Linggie Taboh, Hamidah Halpi, Anne Anthony Lajinga, Caroline Chen Tze Yian, Dayang Morzanah Awang Haddy and Dorris Synia dah Rabiah Zaidan.
This was followed by the conferment of the Pingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Bakti (P.P.B), on 20 recipients, including Angelico Francis Freddy Tiam, Awang Nazri Awang Saperi and Boggie Juntan.
Meanwhile, 11 individuals were conferred the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Sarawak (A.B.S).
The ceremony continued with 21 recipients receiving the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak Ahli Bintang Kenyalang (A.B.K).
Another 43 individuals were awarded the PPingat Pentadbiran Awam Pingat Perkhidmatan Terpuji (P.P.T), while 41 recipients received the Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Sarawak Bentara Bintang Sarawak (B.B.S).
Also present at the ceremony were TYT’s wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi; Deputy Minister of Transport Sarawak (Aviation and Road) Datuk Dr Jerip Susil; Deputy Minister of International Trade, Industry, and Investment Sarawak Datuk Dr Malcolm Mussen Lamoh; Deputy Minister in the Department of the Premier of Sarawak (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya; Deputy Sarawak Secretary (Administration) Datu Felicia Tan Ya Hua; and heads of government departments. — DayakDaily
