Honouring M’sia’s heroes: S’wak-level Warriors’ Day 2026 set for July 31 at Dataran Perayaan

KUCHING, July 28: The public is invited to attend the Parade Ceremony in conjunction with Sarawak-level Warriors’ Day 2026, which will be held at Dataran Perayaan in Petra Jaya here on July 31.

According to a post from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit’s (UKAS) Facebook page, the ceremony will take place from 7am to 9am under the theme ‘Mengenang Jasa, Mengukuh Pertahanan’ (‘Honouring Service, Strengthening Defence’).

The event is intended to honour the service and sacrifices of the nation’s warriors who defended Malaysia’s sovereignty.

The programme will feature a number of ceremonial highlights, including the Main Guard of Honour, performances by the Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM) and Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) bands, the sounding of the Last Post and Rouse bugle calls, a patriotic poetry recital, a choir performance, and the screening of a National Warriors’ Day video montage.

The public announcement also encouraged Malaysians to attend the event as a gesture of appreciation for the nation’s heroes who sacrificed for the country’s peace and prosperity and invited members of the public to bring their families and friends.

It was also noted that Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg are expected to attend the event. — DayakDaily
