KUCHING, March 4: Sarawak will play host to the Asia-Australasia Conference of Radiological Technologists 2023 from Aug 11 to 13 at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas) on March 3, State Health Department Public Health deputy director Dr Rosemawati Ariffin said the conference aims to provide a platform for radiological technologists and professionals in the field to gather and exchange ideas and knowledge.
“It will also provide opportunities to explore the latest developments and innovations in the field of radiotherapy and radiological technology,” she said during a press conference held at BCCK today.
Dr Rosemawati said the event this time will see famous speakers from all over Asia invited to share their expertise and experience in the field.
She added participants will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advances in radiology technology, including new imaging techniques, patient care and many others.
Meanwhile, President of Malaysian X-ray Association (MSR) Ts Sawal Marsait they aim to have 800 delegates visiting Sarawak for the conference.
He also said it will benefit the region’s economy and tourism industry. — DayakDaily
