KUCHING, Dec 28: Sarawak’s new Covid-19 infections remained low with 19 cases recorded in seven districts and no fatalities reported today.
This thus brings the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Sarawak to 252,239 while the overall death toll remains at 1,615.
Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in its daily update on the Covid-19 situation in Sarawak, stated that Kuching recorded the most cases at eight.
This was followed by Bintulu with five cases, Sibu with two, while Lawas, Mukah, Selangau and Sebauh had one case each.
Of the new cases, only one patient was in Category 5 with pneumonia and requiring ventilator support.
There were 15 cases under Category 1 without symptoms and three under Category 2 with mild symptoms.
Currently, there are no active clusters in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
