Sarawak govt, EPF strengthen partnership to protect Sarawakians’ welfare

KUCHING, Apr 4: The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) wishes to strengthen its partnership with the Sarawak government in order to protect the welfare of the people in the region.

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) report, EPF chief executive officer (CEO) Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan and his entourage paid a courtesy call on Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today at the latter’s office at Wisma Bapa Malaysia.

Amir Hamzah told the media that during the courtesy visit, several topics were discussed, including the role of EPF and current issues.

“We made this courtesy visit to explain the role of EPF, the issues it faces, and how we can collaborate to help the people of Sarawak increase their future savings.

“This is an important issue because we want to safeguard the well-being of the people by increasing and improving financial understanding,” he said.

Also present was Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki. — DayakDaily
